Kingdom Promise – Have Confidence in His Promises!

Acts 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”

Let me remind you what I said at the beginning of this series.

The devil’s strategy is to keep you away from everything God has promised. EVERYTHING.

He especially wants to keep you from the promise of God’s Spirit living inside of you.

Everyone reading this message MUST be reminded that you can receive the power of the Holy Ghost just like they did in the book of Acts with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. No one is an exception to this promise. And that is not the only promise in the Word of God! As a matter fact – there are many promises…

Have Confidence in His Promises

I want to talk to you about having confidence in every promise of His Word. Every promise. Without exception.

There is a difference between knowing His Word and believing His Word. There is a difference in just being able to quote scripture and having FAITH that the scripture was written for you.

You may think that not all the promises are for you. You may feel this way because you have not seen them in your life YET, but you have seen them in other people’s lives.

Don’t allow the enemy to steal any part of His promises because the timing has not been fulfilled yet.

A BIG part of our walk with God is about patience and waiting. In the patience and waiting, He wants us to give us peace and confidence that His promises will come to pass.

Romans 5:1-5 NLT “Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory. We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.

A few things we learn from what Paul is telling the church of Rome:

  1. You will have problems and trials – but they have purpose! – It’s for your good! If your trials are pulling you away from God – the enemy has convinced you that NOT “All things work together for the good…”
  2. This hope will not lead to disappointment. You might be discouraged because your patience is running thin. Renew your confidence in Christ. He will never disappoint you.

Romans 15:8-13 NLT “Remember that Christ came as a servant to the Jews to show that God is true to the promises he made to their ancestors. He also came so that the Gentiles might give glory to God for his mercies to them. That is what the psalmist meant when he wrote: ‘For this, I will praise you among the Gentiles; I will sing praises to your name.’

And in another place, it is written, ‘Rejoice with his people, you Gentiles.’  And yet again, ‘Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles. Praise him, all you people of the earth.’  And in another place Isaiah said, ‘The heir to David’s throne will come, and he will rule over the Gentiles. They will place their hope on him.’

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Paul is writing a reminder to the church, people filled with the Holy Ghost! He is writing to them to remind them of the times God had fulfilled His promises to both the Jews and the Gentiles. -So be filled COMPLETELY with joy and peace and let confidence OVERFLOW in your life.

Be reminded, God has not forgotten about you. You need to be bold in the Holy Ghost and be firmly believe that if He said it, He will do it…..

…and until that time comes – REJOICE IN YOUR CONFIDENT HOPE, JESUS CHRIST!
