Kingdom Works – Now Hiring

James 2:20 “But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?”

Let me just remind all of us…we are not saved by works; we are saved by God’s grace.  PERIOD.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

The gift of salvation is FREE, and it is summed up in Acts 2:38. We must repent – SO HE CAN FORGIVE. We must be baptized in Jesus Name – SO HE CAN FORGET. We must yield our life completely to Him – SO HE CAN FILL US WITH HIS SPIRIT

If you have NOT experienced the Gospel of Jesus Christ, this should be your number one priority.

Now, that being said, GET A JOB

If you are unemployed right now, it is no one’s fault but your own. There is more work than there are those willing to work!

And before you start to make excuses that there are not good paying jobs out there…

That couldn’t be further from the truth.  Because of supply verses demand, hourly wages are at an all-time high.

You cannot drive down the road without seeing a sign that says, “Now Hiring” and the listing of all great benefits. There are even companies paying $50 for anyone just to apply and interview.

If that wasn’t enough inspiration for you to have aspiration…. Now, our government has decided to give out bonuses to do the things we should be already doing. Unfortunately, there are many that have decided to be LAZY instead of putting their hand to work.

Now, I said all of that for one reason…

What is a detriment to our economy because of the lack of workers has become a detriment to the Kingdom for the lack of laborers.

God has saved us so we can become productive in HIS KINGDOM!

Once we are saved, it is time to GET TO WORK!

The Kingdom of God is always hiring. And the wages and the benefits are eternal… which outweighs every temporal benefit of this life.

On January 20, 1961, in his famous inaugural address, John F. Kennedy said these words that many of us can quote…

“Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.”

His purpose was to inspire children and adults to see the importance of civic action and public service. He challenged every American to contribute in some way to the public good.

Today, I challenge every Christ follower… “Don’t ask for what the church can do for you, but what you can do for the church.”

I challenge the church to contribute of your time your talents in some way for Kingdom good!

Every “work” we do, has a bigger picture then us.

You see in the Kingdom; it is different than a secular job. A secular job is all about you. A Kingdom Job is all about Christ and others. The purpose of our Kingdom Works is about the harvest.

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16

There is so much to do, and so little time before the return of Christ. WE NEED YOU!!!

There are so many people to reach – but where are the workers? Where are the laborers? WE NEED YOU!!!

Look what Jesus said…

“Therefore said he unto them, the harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.” Luke 10:2

Spurgeon said,  “We are to pray that the Lord would send out laborers: “Now the Greek is much more forcible, it is that he would push them forward, and thrust them out; it is the same word which is used for the expulsion of a devil from a man possessed. It takes great power to drive a devil out, it will need equal power from God to drive a minister out to his work.”

David Guzik wrote, “The laborers are few: This means not only that there must be more workers, but also that those engaged in the work must have appropriate focus on their work. When there is a lot of work and few workers, one must be busy about the work.”

We, as a church, must be focused like never before on the work God has called us to do. WE NEED YOU!!!

Romans 12:11 NLT “Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.”

Psalms 119:5 NLT “Oh, that my actions would consistently reflect your decrees!”

The Kingdom of God is hiring, will you apply? #KingdomWorks
